2019-2020 Faith Formation Information and Calendar
Attendance at Mass
Your child's faith and value system are formed within the context of their family. They began their initiation into the Catholic Church when they were baptized. Attending Faith Formation sessions
prepares them for what they will experience at weekly Mass. Liturgy is where it all happens. Weekly attendance at Mass is absolutely essential. Children's Liturgy of the Word is available at the 11AM Mass for children in grades Prek -3.
Families who have a 7th grader, as well as siblings in grades Prek - 6 may attend a blended grade 5/6/7 in the AM session or a blended 6/7 in the PM session. The Pflaum Gospel series has a blended grade approach which makes this possible.
Fees
$40.00 per child; $50.00 per family of 2 or more. Please contact the office if payment cannot be made in full and arrangements will be worked out to pay in installments. Additional fees are required for retreats and special events.
Sacramental Guidelines
We offer the sacraments of Reconciliation, Eucharist and Confirmation every year. There is a minimum age, but the most important criteria is that you and your child attend weekly Liturgy. They must also have an appropriate understanding of the sacrament and be able to complete the requirements for that sacrament.
There is a two year preparation period for the sacraments of First Reconciliation, First Eucharist and Confirmation. All young people preparing must participate in the parish catechetical programs for one full year before beginning immediate preparation for that particular sacrament.
